Online Application to Participate in Micro Alpha Pilot Program - 2010
Program Description: Micro Alpha is a way to help the church mobilize the people of God to take the Gospel into their relational worlds outside the church building using the Alpha course. In order to further develop the vision, Alpha USA seeks a number of participants representing diverse backgrounds and situations to help us test the Micro Alpha concept.
Terms of Participation: Every Pilot Program Participant would agree to:
- Complete a Micro Alpha Pilot Program Application (below);
- Purchase a Micro Alpha Kit at a special pilot price;
- Start a Micro Alpha course by 9/30/2010, complete by December, 2010.
- Complete an initial course survey online;
- Maintain a weekly journal relating to the course;
- Respond to an online final survey within 10 days of the end of the course;
- Participate in a telephone or in-person interview about their experience with the pilot course.
If you would like to apply for the pilot program, please complete the following online application. We will review your application and then notify you whether you have been selected to participate in the pilot program and, if selected, more detailed information about getting your pilot Micro Alpha started.
Important Note: We do appreciate and thank you for your desire to participate and hope all can be included, however, in order to try to get as effective a pilot program as possible, we may not be able to accept all applicants.

Section 3: User Agreement
The "Micro Alpha Kit" is for anyone interested in running the Alpha course for a small number of friends in their homes or in other non-church settings. The content of the Micro Alpha course is exactly the same as that of the regular Alpha course. However, Micro Alpha is usually simpler, more informal and flexible than a traditional Alpha run by a church team and held in a church building.
I agree that the Micro Alpha kit(s) I am purchasing will be used solely for the purposes of Micro Alpha, outside of the church setting.
Section 4: Micro Alpha Kit Pilot Pricing
*Because Alpha USA is committed to making it possible for individuals to share Alpha with a few friends who might not be able or willing to attend Alpha at at a church, we have arranged for the cost of this kit to be subsidized by private donations. Therefore we are limiting this offer to individuals who plan to run Alpha outside the church setting. If you are a church that wants to run multiple Alpha courses in homes or other settings outside the church building you have access to similar price reductions through the Micro Alpha Church Pack. If your church would find it difficult to buy Alpha resources because of financial hardship, please contact your local Regional Director or Alpha Advisor for scholarship information through the Alpha Pathway Program.

b. Please briefly describe your Alpha course experience, including number of courses, roles (such as small group host, etc.), training, conference attendance, Alpha Advisor, or any other significant involvement in Alpha.
