Involve Everyone In the Alpha Invitation
The Alpha Invitation is most effective when the whole congregation is involved. People can join in by praying, helping to raise funds for advertising, putting up posters, and inviting a friend. If each congregation member where the Alpha course is running invited someone to come along it would be amazing!
The Worship Center in PA has been running the Alpha course for many years and they follow a clear timeline to engage everyone in their church in the Alpha Invitation. We have included their timeline here and although it is for a fall Alpha Invitation, it can be adapted for any time of year.
Purpose of promoting Alpha at The Worship Center (or wherever the Alpha course is run):
1. To stir the heart of evangelism – to be intentional
2. Invite newer people in the congregation to the Alpha course
3. Let the congregation know about the tool we offer to help them connect their friends with Jesus Christ - the Alpha course
Second Sunday in August
Video or Live Announcement - We are getting ready to kick-off another (or your first) session of Alpha with some exciting developments

Our (church/organization) is working with (insert number) of other churches in the region that will be offering an Alpha course. This is in addition to hundreds more churches that will be doing Alpha together in towns across the country. We are doing some mass advertising in the region. In our area, you will see Alpha promoted on (announce any local promotions)

The power of this advertising comes when God uses each of us to extend an invitation to a friend that we could bring to Alpha. End video announcement: Who in your life is God leading you to bring to Alpha?

- Highlight prayer opportunities associated with the Alpha Invitation that the congregation can join

Third Sunday in August
- Greeters give out any helpful information (brochures, invitations, car magnet, yard signs)
- Video or live announcement on how the advertising material can be used to invite someone to the Introductory Alpha Dinner/Event
- The brochure you received is your invitation to Alpha. Or, it could serve as your invitation to give to someone to bring to Alpha
- End announcement with, "Who in your life is God leading you to bring to Alpha?"
- Have an Alpha booth outside in the lobby where people can find out more and sign-up.

Fifth Sunday in August
- Consider doing a cardboard testimony with background music showing lives transformed by the Alpha course in the church
- Share some Alpha statistics
- Take an offering for the Alpha course and promotions
- End announcement with, "Who in your life is God leading you to invite to Alpha?

- End with, "Who in your life is God leading you to invite to Alpha?"
