2009 Thirty Alpha Invitations In 316 Cities

  • 30 AI, 316 cities, 563 churches/organizations, 17,864 guests
  • The Barna Group research found that 50% of people make a first time or re-commitment to Jesus Christ on the Alpha course, we estimate that over 8000 people made a commitment to Jesus Christ through the 2009 Alpha Invitations

  • 16% of the active Alpha courses took part in an Invitation in 2009

open quotesThe Invitation is more than billboards/advertising - it was about allowing God to move and form relationships between the churches of all denominations.  It was also critical to motivate people to individually invite their friends and neighbors.close quotes Jacki Tase, Mid Atlantic Alpha Invitation Coordinator
