Small Group Training and Help

Having well trained small group Leaders and Helpers is crucial to the overall health and fruitfulness of an Alpha course.

Below are ideas that have been generated from course practitioners across the USA.  Here is what we suggest you do with these ideas and resources:

• The first few times you run an Alpha course, use the Alpha Small Group Leaders Training DVD's to train your Leaders, Helpers and Task Force.  Although the material is geared at the interactions in the small group, it is valuable for all who are participating understand the general philosophy of the small group.
• After you have run several Alpha courses, you may be looking for ways to keep returning Leaders and Helpers engaged in the training times.  We would suggest that you chose a few of the items listed under 'articles" on the lefts side of your screen to supplement the DVD training sessions. 
• Rotate the supplemental training tools you use with each new course.  They are meant to support the standard training not replace it.
