Come Holy Spirit
 This week we were blessed to be invited to the Alpha Americas conference in Chicago, IL.
I had a great time and experienced some things that I have never experienced before! First, we had a mock “How to be Filled with the Holy Spirit” talk and then when we asked the Holy Spirit to come...and He showed up. Now that by itself isn’t really unusual. I’ve noticed God loves to show up, but what was unusual for me is people started to sing in tongues which I’ve never seen or done. And get this...then I started to as well! First I was freaked out by this, but after talking it out with another friend found that I was very grateful for the Spirit’s working. Later, the last day of the conference, I was so tired that I didn’t think that I even had the energy to do praise and worship, but guess what, the Spirit showed up again and filled me with energy needed to worship him! So this week for me has been filled with getting reacquainted with the Holy Spirit and if you desire the same don’t worry you don’t have to go to an Alpha conference for him to show up just pray “Holy Spirit I need you and I want to feel your presence” and mean it and He will show up! |
