Ignite New Passion in Your Alpha Team by Participating on a GAT
Are you looking for a way to increase the passion and enthusiasm for your Alpha team? Do you have a heart for international mission? Why not consider participating on a Global Alpha Training (GAT) event?
There is a huge demand around the world for Alpha training and Alpha International has created GAT as a tool to meet the worldwide training need. GAT is often referred to as “Training in a Suitcase” – as teams are provided with the training and tools required. Anyone who has run an Alpha course can do a GAT. It is our vision that every church around the world has an opportunity to run an Alpha course. In 2009 nearly 5,500 new courses started as a result of GAT events.
Hundreds of teams have been sent out around the world to train church leaders on how to run Alpha and consistently teams come back having been a blessing to the church leaders trained and being blessed themselves.
“The impact on me of my GAT trip to Indonesia was lifting up my vision for evangelism and particularly for Alpha, to a whole new level; seeing new possibilities of what could happen back here.” Tim Piesse, Pastor, Crossway Baptist Church, Australia
“When it came to it we all had very different skills and as a team pulled together so well and were just astounded by what God could do with what we brought.” Hannah Hawksley, India GAT
Perhaps your church has connections with churches overseas and you could partner with them to train local leaders on Alpha by running a GAT event. Northview Christian Life Church in Carmel, Indiana is returning to Nicaragua to do their 3rd GAT event with contacts their church has been working with for years. Other churches select a location through Alpha International who maintains a list of countries that have requested events.
“I really believe your churches will be blessed if they send teams. I’ve seen it here at HTB, our people come back amazed at what they’ve seen God do around the world, their faith is strengthened and they want to get more involved in the local church and our Alpha course.” Nicky Gumbel
