Training tips: led by the Course Administrator
• Mention the supper tonight. Get final numbers. If you are charging for the Celebration Supper, encourage guests to pay by leading by example.
• Fix a date for a group reunion. Perhaps meet around a service after the course is finished
• We’re still looking for Leaders and Helpers for the next course. We suggest that you recommend a Leader or Helper that you would want your best friend to be assigned to. Particularly think of those who were non-Christians at the start of the course, even if they’re not yet Christians.
• Questions for tonight:
• What has been your experience in coming on the course? (Pick an open and positive person.)
• What would you like to do now? (Join a small group? Leader needs to give some direction here and make a suggestion.)
• Is there anything anyone would like to pray about?
• If no prayer requests, then close in giving thanks, otherwise end in prayer.

Begin by thanking the Task Force
“This evening’s talk is entitled ‘What about the Church?’ and the book we recommend tonight is:
• What’s so Amazing About Grace? – Philip Yancey
The Celebration Supper is next week. Please take invitations and invite your friends and family to come. They do not have to say "yes" to coming on the whole course, just be willing to come to the Supper.
(optional) If anyone is looking into baptism, we are having baptisms on (give date) at our Sunday services. Please let us know if you are looking into that”.

How's your hearing?
A man went to the doctor for his annual physical examination. After the doctor had examined the man, he asked “Is there anything else you’d like to discuss today?” The man thought a moment and said “Yes, as a matter of fact there is. My wife has gotten so hard of hearing that often she doesn’t hear me…and she refuses to get her hearing checked. What can I do about this?”
The doctor thought for awhile and then said “I have an idea for you. Next time you see her and she is not looking, say something to her and see if she hears you. Then see how close you have to get before she hears you. Let me know what happens.”
So the man went home and went into the Great Room with the living room, eating room and kitchen. He saw his wife with her back to him and she was at the kitchen counter getting dinner ready and he stood at the far end of the Great Room.
So he asked in a reasonable voice, “What’s for dinner tonight Honey?” As usual, she did not respond.
So he took a few steps closer and said again “What’s for dinner tonight Honey?” Again she did not hear him and there was no response.
So he took a few steps closer and asked a third time “What’s for dinner tonight honey?” Again there is absolutely no response.
So he gets right up behind her and asks again “What’s for dinner tonight Honey?”
At this point she turns around and faces him and says “For the FOURTH time, Beef Stew!!!!”
