Alpha USA: How Can We Improve our Service?
by Gerard Long, Executive Director, Alpha USA
As we have outlined our Strategic Plans, we have introduced the various constituent parts of Alpha USA, which when working together will move us toward our goals and objectives. We have been working very hard on building up and equipping the people who make up Alpha USA, including the regional/local teams, Advisors and resource churches. We feel it is good stewardship to put things in place to make what we do as a ministry as efficient and effective as possible – always trying to be faithful to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
In order to help nurture a culture of always seeking to get better at what we do and wiser in our decisions, we in the Central Support Team have adopted an internal “Continuous Improvement Program”. This encourages everyone to submit ideas on how we can be more efficient and effective in the ways we serve the Alpha movement. Every idea is reviewed and acted upon in some manner. It is amazing the great ideas that have come up.
Beginning in 2009, we would like to open the Continuous Improvement Program to the entire Alpha “family”. We will have a place on the Alpha USA website dedicated to this program and will actively seek input how Alpha USA can become more effective and efficient in spreading the Gospel through more and better Alpha courses. Experience tells us there are a great many excellent and helpful ideas across the Alpha family. We believe this program will help identify them and incorporate them into our ministry life.
Please watch future Monthly Updates for more information on when we will have our “Grand Opening” of the Continuous Improvement Program.
